VART2627 Sound Editing (1.5 units)

This intermediate course aims to supplement students’ knowledge and skills on sound editing. For structuring and organising audio materials, students will be introduced to key concepts for sound editing for digital audio workstation.
The course will be conducted mostly in workshop environments delivering skills and knowledge with actual practices such as basic sound editing skills to create sound compositions in various formats.
The course aims to familiarise students with principal functions and features, and point towards solution strategies when using audio editing programmes. Fluency in these skills will help students to work for various digital media at advanced levels, including sound art, video art and installations.
