The objectives of this course are to provide students with a framework for understanding the social dimensions of well-being, health, illness and disability; to enable students to appreciate the significance of the "health-and-illness" dimension of human life and its implications for human behaviour, professional intervention and the social environment; and to equip students with conceptual tools to understand health problems and health actions.
