MUSI3067 Techniques of Sound Design (3 units)

The aim of this course is to explore and equip students with the necessary tools, workflows, and creative considerations in producing audio for a plethora of media. Students will learn about the development of technology for synchronizing audio to moving image, as well as modern-day practices in audio post-production. The participants will acquire relevant sets of skills to produce, modify, edit, and mix sound effects, dialogue, and Foley that will be applied to visual media. The course will also concentrate on the basics of dealing with audio stems of the final mix, as well as on producing the final mix itself.
