This course aims to give students an experience and understanding of cinematic sound production, from production through to post-production with an emphasis on dialogue production. Tasks and exercises on the physics of sound and human auditory perception science is an integral part of the course, which aims to develop an understanding of how sound behaves within indoor and outdoor spaces and how the human brain responds to sonic change. Embedded throughout the course are demonstrations, equipment tutorials, hands-on workshops intended to develop students' confidence in the use of sound and music technology.
