This course presents opera, ballet, musical and other forms of music theatre from a historical perspective, as well as from the viewpoint of the most state-of-the-art interdisciplinary music- and staging solutions of our time, both in the context of contemporary opera, Broadway musicals, and other relevant forms of music theatre.  Various experimental solutions of music composing, organization of dialogue/libretto, stage design, and use of technologies (such as, for example, interactive 3D projections and Virtual Reality contents, as presented, for example, in the works of Michel van der Aa), will be showcased and analysed.
