The course is designed to introduce students to the importance of and ways to maintaining high food quality and safety in a society amidst growing consumer demand and industry awareness in food safety. This course covers the principles and international standards of food quality and safety management, and provides an understanding of the legislative control related to food quality, safety and human health protection in Hong Kong, US, China and EU.
