This course draws from psychological theories and research in examining and discussing mental health problems in school settings. Emphasis will be put on revealing the risk factors, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of common mental health issues and concerns. In this course, students are expected to develop sensitivity to the psychological needs of school children, adolescents, and teachers and develop skills in managing mental health challenges and promoting mental wellbeing in schools.
