BUS 7360 MBA Seminars and Company Visits (0 unit)
- Medium of Instruction:
- Putonghua
MBA seminars deal with contemporary issues in the business community. Speakers include senior business practitioners, visiting academics and faculty members. As the School offers MBA classes in cities in the Mainland, seminars are to be organised in all these locations. Instead of a single-speaker seminar, some of these seminars may involve several speakers, in different presentation modes. Topics will not be confined to those directly related to the curriculum. Instead, topics covering a wide range of business interests will be hosted. Besides, if feasible, seminars / webinars hosted by international speakers will be arranged so that students will be exposed to global perspectives of doing businesses.
This is not a credit-bearing course. In meeting part of the graduating requirements, all students need to attend 5 seminars / webinars and 1 company visit during the two years of study. The company visit provides an additional chance for students to meet and exchange ideas with senior executives of large organizations.
HKBU MBA Office will arrange several seminars / webinars and students can choose to join those organized by HKBU MBA Office and can / should also join other seminars / webinars depending on own learning interests. In the latter case, students are required to provide information of the seminars / webinars for obtaining approval from the MBA Office in advance and submit proof of attendance to the MBA Office after the seminars / webinars.
HKBU MBA Office will organize 2 – 3 company visits during the 2-year study and students are required to attend at least 1 visit.
