The course provides students a thorough understanding of the workings of the real-world TV writers' room. It will examine the development of a continuing serial drama in depth. Under the guidance of the instructor, students will work through the complete process of creating an original drama series. Students will collaborate on building show ideas, creating a full cast of characters. working out multiple storylines and writing the scripts for an entire season of an hour-long drama series. By the end of the course, students should be well equipped to work in the script departments of serial drama.
