The course aims to provide students with opportunities for experiential learning that integrates community service with academic study. Students will participate in selected service activities that meet community needs, and reflect on that service so that it furthers their understanding of sociology. The experience of service learning will promote their personal and professional development, sharpen critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and increase awareness of civic and community responsibility.
