This course provides a systematic study of the principles and techniques of financial data search and application.  Students will learn to obtain and interpret financial data in preparation for a career in financial journalism.  Through case studies and projects, students will master basic investigative tools and techniques to analyse financial market performance.  The course also introduces basic approaches of market sentiment analysis.  Students are required to pass Bloomberg Market Concepts, a 10-hour self-paced course that integrates data, news and analytics.
