CM beauty studies is a newly emerging CM discipline created through the crossing-over of numerous foundation and gynaecological disciplines, targeting the health and beauty of the human body. Its goal is to seek the guidance of CM theories and medical theories of bodily aesthetics to study the prevention of disfiguring diseases, the rectification and concealing of disfiguring defects, the methods of delaying aging and maintaining a youthful appearance—all in pursuit of the beauty of the human body in both form and figure. Through studies, students will grasp the basic theories, knowledge and skills related to this course, and be familiar with the identification and treatment of various disfiguring diseases and defects.

The course is divided into two parts: overview and individual topics. The overview introduces the concept and scope of CM Beauty Studies; the characteristics of CM Beauty Studies and other disciplines; the development history of CM Beauty Studies; aesthetics of the human body under CM beauty studies; cosmetics and CM cosmetics; CM skincare and commonly used equipment. Individual topics introduce beauty and health and beauty therapy, and covers the causes, mechanisms, differentiation, and treatments of various disfiguring defects and diseases.
通過本課程的學習，使學生掌握中醫美容學的基礎理論、基本知識及基本技能，掌握或熟悉各種損容性疾病或損容性缺陷的辨證治療以及保健方法，瞭解美容的相關知識，並在學習的過程中，進一步體會和鞏固前期所學的中西醫基礎理論和知識，畢業後能在臨床醫療實踐中對常見損容性疾病和缺陷正確地進行診治及指導就診者正確地進行美容保健。
