This course aims to provide students with knowledge in the areas of nature and flavour, orientation of medicinal actions, functions and application. Students shall learn about the appearances of unprocessed medicine and processed medicine, familiarize themselves with the Chinese common names, Latin names of the medicines and their formulas, and gain in-depth knowledge about the nature of the Chinese medicines through actual practice.
本科讓學生學習中藥實物，觀摩中藥生藥的形態。在中藥房及藥圃參觀學習以及上山採藥亦屬重要內容。
