Despite the practice of exhibiting is found not only in museums or galleries, but also in trade-fairs, showrooms, shops and various public institutions, the power of display is still often not acknowledged. This course aims to equip students with basic skills and techniques to produce exhibits and displays for all kinds of situations including arranging the audience flow, hanging and/or placing of artefacts, and lighting.
As this course aims at students who have already some experience in art-/design-related subjects, but not yet any systematic approach to exhibit design, the focus of the course will be on applying these new skills onto the students’ personal practice in other areas, thus improving the impact of their general creative achievements.
