This course aims to acquaint students with the scientific bases and techniques in fitness training in the sport of Crossfit. It also provides students with an understanding of the principles of a healthy lifestyle for achieving physical health and mental well-being by participating in Crossfit training. Upon completion of this course, students will learn the basic concepts and knowledge of major components of physical fitness, with the emphasis of practical experience in cross fitness training. Students will gain practical experience in a variety of foundational movements and a variety of Crossfit exercises including the use of plyometrics, weightlifting, ropes, medicine ball, and horizontal bars. Students will develop a sensible approach towards the Crossfit Game with the view of emphasizing on broad-based physical fitness, and understanding its contribution to achieving wellness and adopting an active healthy lifestyle.
