This course is to introduce different perspectives of social justice and its relation to social movements in modern societies like Hong Kong. The focus is on studying selective theories and perspectives with the aim of fostering a critical and thorough understanding on the concept of social justice and social conflicts, and to analyse the emergence and maintenance of social movements and its impact on and relationship to the civil society in the 21st century.
