MSCN3095 Data Literacy in Media and Communication (3 units)

In contemporary data rich society, it is becoming increasingly important for a media professional to have the skill to interpret and criticize representations of data, and also utilize data in the decision-making process. The course is designed to enhance students' ability to collect, manage and evaluate data in a critical way and to apply data in support of evidence based decision making. The training will be integrated with visual literacy in term of data visualization and statistical literacy in terms of data manage and analysis.
