This course provides basic training in news anchoring. It introduces the role of a news anchor and equips students with related professional skills including pronunciation, on-camera performance, use of autocue or teleprompter, conducting interviews and note-taking, image building, news wrapping up and news ad-libbing. Special emphasis is given to acquiring hands-on experience of news anchoring. This is a core course for Broadcast Journalism concentration students.
