This course aims (1) to develop students’ understanding of the basic knowledge, major models and strategies of effective teaching and learning of History; (2) to increase students’ awareness of theory-driven and research-based instructional and assessment strategies; (3) to enhance students’ ability to learn through self-reflection, experience sharing and observation of other teachers in action; and (4) to strengthen students’ concept of effective teaching of History and ability to plan a lesson.
