This course introduces the basic structures of computer systems and the key components of operating systems. Basic concepts of data communications and networks are examined. The principles of the Internet and world wide web are discussed. The techniques for cloud computing are studied. Students will also acquire hands-on experience in mobile application programming. Students who complete this course will be suitably prepared for the other courses offered in the MSc in IT Management curriculum.
