This course aims to introduce students to a comprehensive overview of theories and practices of digital media in contemporary culture. Based on a historical understanding of digital media developments, the course explores the role of new media in a globally networked world. It also examines the social, political and economic influences of new digital technologies on culture, industry, creativity and community from cross-disciplinary perspectives.
