This course aims to introduce students to different aspects of Hong Kong studies with a multi-disciplinary approach and an emphasis on the understanding and application of relevant theories. Through the exploration of recent studies on Hong Kong in the fields of culture, society, history and politics, it also tries to engage students in the on-going academic discussion and debates of Hong Kong studies.  Upon completion, students are expected to have a critical understanding of Hong Kong society and be able to participate in society as a well-informed citizen.
