ECON7800 Macroeconomics (3 units)
This course introduces the basic macroeconomic models related to economic growth, economic fluctuations, inflation, and monetary policies. The main focus of the course is to train students on applying the relevant macroeconomic models to analyse contemporary macroeconomic issues. In each selected topic, students will learn not only the theory of the model but also the real-world applications of the model. With the building of knowledge on both qualitative and quantitative macroeconomics, students are equipped with tools needed for understanding and conducting macroeconomic policy analysis.
